Alcohol Related Medical Emergency
May 6: A male campus resident was reported intoxicated after drinking fourteen shots of vodka. He was evaluated by SCU EMS and allowed to remain in his room monitored by a friend. Several alcoholic beverages were also found, confiscated and disposed.
May 8: A male campus resident injured his head when he fell into a door frame. He became confused, uncooperative and began yelling profanities at SCU EMS personnel who were assisting him. SCPD and SCFD were contacted and responded and he was transported to O’Connor Hospital by paramedics. A fake ID was found in his possession and was confiscated for disposition.
May 5: A bicycle was reported stolen from the University Villa bike racks.
May 10: A male suspect was observed cutting a bicycle lock off a secured bicycle at the Learning Commons bike racks. SCPD was contacted and responded and the suspect was taken into custody.
May 9: An arrested campus resident was found in possession of miscellaneous drugs and paraphernalia in his room. SCPD responded and items found were confiscated. The resident was given a citation for the illegal drugs.
May 4: A garbage can in the Benson lot was found on fire and the fire was extinguished by a CSS officer. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
May 4: A suspicious looking brown bag was reportedly found behind a chair in the second floor lounge of Benson Memorial Center. CSS responded but was unable to locate the brown bag.
May 4: A guest speaker fell off the edge of a stage in Locatelli Student Activity Center while giving a speech. He reportedly lost consciousness for a short time and CSS and SCFD responded. Paramedics transported him to Good Samaritan Hospital.
May 4: A suspicious non-affiliate male was reported on the lawn area of the Harrington Learning Commons and was agitated when a CSS officer questioned him. He was given a trespass warning and asked to leave campus.
May 6: A non-affiliate male reportedly gained entry into Alumni Science by asking a staff member to allow him inside. CSS responded and escorted him out of the building, but he refused to leave campus property. SCPD responded, gave him a trespass warning and advised him to leave Santa Clara property.
May 9: The fennel plants at the St. Claire Garden were found vandalized.
