The Santa Clara Volleyball team suffered a heartbreaking loss at the University of Portland on Halloween. The Broncos were able to push the match to a final fifth set, but went on to lose the game by a score of 15-6.
The red hot volleyball team’s six game winning streak came to an end in Southern California this past weekend. The Broncos went 1-1 as they played Pepperdine University and Loyola Marymount University.
Traveling down south into hostile territory, the women’s volleyball team came away with an upset over No. 24 Loyola Marymount University, topping the Lions 3-2. Two days before the victory, the Broncos knocked off Pepperdine University.
The Santa Clara women’s volleyball team traveled to the University of California, Santa Barbara on Friday, Sept. 19 for the UC Santa Barbara/Cal Poly Invitational and placed second after facing three opponents in two days.
Santa Clara’s men’s club volleyball team found itself in a hole early, dropping the first game of the Bronze Division Championship match at nationals to the University of Pennsylvania. But as they had done all tournament long, the Broncos settled down and dug deep to find their winning form.
