Audio Story: Pet Parents of the Pandemic

Felicia Jarrin is a senior at Santa Clara University from Winslow, Arizona. She is majoring in English and Political Science with a minor in Journalism.

Pet adoptions have seemed to increase over the past year due to quarantine loneliness and boredom. In this story, I interviewed two college students about their experiences becoming first-time pet owners during the pandemic, and all the stress, excitement, and joy that has come with that process.
