THE SANTA CLARAApril 6, 2017Drug Violation March 27: A campus resident was found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia in his room. The items found were confiscated and disposed of. Found Property March 27: A Samsung phone was found and turned into Campus Safety. April 3: A wallet containing a fake ID was found in Kenna Hall and turned into Campus Safety. The owner was notified and the fake ID was confiscated for disposition. April 4: A bluetooth earpiece was found in the Varsi Parking Lot and turned into Campus Safety. Fire Alarm March 30: Campus Safety and SCFD responded to a fire alarm activation in the basement of the Heafey Law Library. The cause of the alarm activation is unknown. Informational Report March 26: A stop sign at the entrance of Cowell Health Center Parking Lot was found bent over. A work order was completed. Medical Emergency March 26: An elderly woman lost consciousness while singing in a choir in the Mission Church. SCFD and paramedics were contacted and responded. Paramedics transported her to Kaiser Permanente Hospital. March 28: A staff member was transported to urgent care for severe nose bleeding. April 3: A high school tour group participant reported having chest pains and shortness of breath at the Abby Sobrato fountain. Campus Safety and SCFD responded. His parent was contacted. April 3: A faculty member was having difficulty breathing during a class session in Kenna Hall. Campus Safety, SCFD and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported him to O’Connor Hospital. April 3: A student injured his head while playing basketball at the Malley Fitness Center. He received medical assistance at the Cowell Health Center. A private vehicle transported him to O’Connor Hospital. Theft March 27: A vehicle parked in the Benson Memorial Center Parking Lot was found broken into with the front window smashed. The owner was notified. March 30: A non-affiliate male was observed taking a bike accessory off a secured bicycle at the Sobrato Residence Hall bike racks. SCPD was contacted and responded. He was admonished for trespassing and advised to stay off campus property. The accessory was taken to Campus Safety for safekeeping. April 3: A bicycle was reported stolen from Swig Hall bike racks.
