Alcohol Related Medical Emergency
Oct. 30: A female student was observed intoxicated and being assisted by other students at the entrance of Dunne Residence Hall. She admitted to drinking about five shots of hard alcohol at an off-campus party. She was identified as an underage student. SCU EMS and SCFD responded. Paramedics transported her to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Notifications were made.
Nov. 1: A non-affiliate male was observed intoxicated and fell and hit his head at the corner of Santa Clara and Alviso Streets. SCU EMS, SCPD and SCFD responded. He was left in the care of his friend.
Elevator Malfunction
Oct. 29: A Dunne Residence Hall elevator was reported malfunctioning with a student trapped inside. CSS responded. The elevator door opened upon CSS arrival.
Oct. 31: Several students and non-affiliate guests were reported trapped inside a Sobrato Residence Hall elevator. CSS and an elevator technician responded, but were unable to open the elevator doors. SCFD responded and successfully pried open the doors. A review of video revealed that several students jumped purposefully and simultaneously, damaging the elevator.
Informational Report
Oct. 30: A parked vehicle was found with its engine running and unoccupied in the Main Parking Structure. SCPD was contacted and responded, identifying the vehicle as belonging to Hertz rental in San Francisco. CSS was able to turn off the engine, but was unable to find the responsible renter.
Nov. 1: A student living in an off-campus residence reported that she was awakened by an unknown male who was inside her room. He then ran out of the house and drove off on the student’s roommate’s bicycle. She was not harmed and SCPD was contacted and responded.
Medical Emergency
Oct. 30: A female student reported a non-affiliate male acting suspiciously in the Benson Memorial Center. He was uncooperative when questioned by a CSS officer. SCPD was contacted and responded. The non-affiliate was given a trespass warning and taken into custody for an outstanding felony warrant.
Nov. 1: A non-affiliate male and female were reported causing a disturbance and disrupting students who were attempting to study on the second floor of the Harrington Learning Commons. CSS responded. They were uncooperative and refused to identify themselves. SCPD was contacted and responded. Both were given trespass warnings and asked to leave campus.
Theft
Oct. 31: A purse was reported stolen from the Bannan Hall lounge area. The owner was in the area when the purse was taken. CSS was unable to identify a suspect.
Oct. 31: A bag containing food was reported stolen from a table at the Bellomy Field entrance.
Oct. 31: Two students were reported taking food and drinks without paying from the Mission Bakery at the Benson Memorial Center. CSS responded and documented their behavior.
