Fire Alarm Activation
Nov. 3: Burned popcorn activated a Swig Residence Hall fire alarm. CSS responded.
Fire Safety
Nov. 10: A food warmer reportedly caught a tray on fire, creating smoke and a small flame in a Lucas Hall meeting room. CSS and EHS responded to investigate after a delayed email report was sent.
Found Property
Nov. 7: A set of photos and assorted business cards were found and turned in to the CSS office.
Informational Report
Nov. 3: Several non-campus residents reportedly gained access into Swig Residence Hall, running up and down the hallway, knocking on doors and causing a disturbance. CSS responded but was unable to locate them. Video camera footage is being reviewed in an attempt to identify the students.
Nov. 4: CSS and SCPD assisted a non-affiliate guest who had lost his cellphone find a Santa Clara Jesuit friend on campus.
Nov. 7: Several individuals were reported drinking alcoholic beverages on the south side of Swig Residence Hall. CSS responded to investigate. CSS interviewed and admonished the individuals.
Nov. 9: A U-lock attached to a cut braided cable was found lying on the ground at the Graham Residence Hall bike racks. CSS reviewed video footage and saw an unknown male cutting a cable lock attached to a bike, then take a bicycle from the rack. The bicycle owner has not yet contacted CSS.
Nov. 10: A student reported observing a suspicious male in pajamas, possibly taking a parked bicycle, and then fleeing from the Nobili Residence Hall bike racks. He left a cut cable lock on the ground. CSS responded to search the area, but was unable to locate the male subject.
Medical Emergency
Nov. 4: A male student injured his lip while playing dodgeball in Malley Center. CSS and SCU EMS responded. He was transported to O’Connor Hospital by a private vehicle.
Nov. 5: A male student was reported having a seizure in Bannan Hall. CSS and SCFD responded. Paramedics transported him to O’Connor Hospital. His parents were notified.
Nov. 9: A staff member slipped on a wet floor in the Main Parking Structure and fell, injuring her knee and ankle. She refused any medical assistance. CSS escorted the woman to her office.
Suspicious Person
Nov. 5: An unknown male was reported giving unwanted compliments to a female student at the west side of the Fine Arts building. CSS responded but was unable to locate the male subject for questioning.
Nov. 6: A non-affiliate female reportedly gained access to the Malley Center to take a shower. She was uncooperative when confronted by Malley Center staff and questioned by a CSS officer. SCPD was contacted and responded. She was admonished for trespassing and asked to leave campus property.
