THE SANTA CLARAJanuary 21, 2016Alcohol Related Medical Emergency
Jan. 12: A campus resident was reported intoxicated after consuming an unknown amount of alcohol at an off-campus party. SCU EMS responded to evaluate her. They allowed the resident to remain in her room, monitored by her roommate.
Jan. 16: A campus resident called CSS and reported having shortness of breath after drinking a cup of wine. SCU EMS evaluated the resident and allowed her to stay in her room, monitored by her roommate.
Drug Violation
Jan. 11: A campus resident was reported smoking marijuana in her room. CSS responded to investigate and found marijuana, paraphernalia and alcoholic beverages in the room. CSS confiscated and disposed of the items.
Jan. 16: Campus residents were found in possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, a bottle of vodka, a few pills of Adderall and Ecstasy. SCPD responded. One of the residents was cited for posession of controlled substance and released.
Informational Report
Jan. 12: A student reported that her car was hit by another car in the University Parking Structure. She requested CSS assistance in getting the suspect’s vehicle information via video footage.
Jan. 16: Four students were observed climbing over the counter at the Mission Bakery Cafe and taking food from behind the counter in the middle of the night. They admitted to taking the food when questioned and returned the items upon request.
Jan. 19: A non-affiliate male was reported sleeping at a table with his shoes off on the second floor of the Harrington Learning Commons. CSS admonished him and escorted him out of the facility.
Jan. 19: A male student was reported making loud noises and using obscene language in the Harrington Learning Commons, making other occupants uncomfortable. CSS admonished the student and escorted him out of the facility.
Medical Emergency
Jan. 13: A campus resident injured her finger while slicing a tomato. CSS and SCU EMS responded and gave the resident medical assistance.
Jan. 19: A female campus resident reported having chest pain and trouble breathing. CSS, SCU EMS and SCFD responded. Paramedics transported her to O’Connor Hospital.
Theft
Jan. 15: A non-affiliate male was reported carrying a bicycle wheel from Sobrato Residence Hall. CSS and SCPD responded and located him on Accolti Way, carrying two bicycle wheels. He admitted to taking one wheel from a bicycle parked in the Dunne Residence Hall bike racks. CSS cited and admonished him for trespassing.
Trespassing
Jan. 11: A non-affiliate transient female was reported washing herself in a Lucas Hall restroom. CSS gave her a trespass warning and escorted her off campus.
