THE SANTA CLARAMarch 4, 2016Alcohol-Related Medical Emergency:Feb. 26: A female student was reported intoxicated in a Benson Memorial Center women’s restroom. CSS, SCU EMS and SCFD responded. It was determined that she was well enough to stay in her on-campus room. CSS escorted her back to her room.Drug and Alcohol Violation:  Feb. 28: Four students were observed sharing a marijuana joint on Accolti Mall. They were uncooperative and argumentative when questioned. CSS escorted three of the students to their rooms for a room search. A glass bong containing marijuana residue, a grinder and alcoholic beverages were found in one student's room. Alcoholic beverages were also found in the second and third students’ rooms. Items found were confiscated and disposed of.Found Property:March 4: The front wheel of a bicycle was found behind the shrubs near a building at 990 Benton Street.Hit and Run:Feb. 29: A vehicle was reportedly found damaged while parked in the Benson Memorial Center parking lot. The owner was advised to file a report with SCPD.Informational Report:Feb. 25: An unauthorized vehicle was observed driving down the Abby Sobrato Mall towards the Mission Church. A CSS officer followed him and and approached him for questioning. He was unaware that the Mall was not a roadway. He was admonished and escorted off university property.Feb. 25: A campus resident was reported flashing a laser beam from the third floor of Sanfilippo Residence Hall toward students on Bellomy Field. CSS responded but was unable to locate the resident.Feb. 26: A female student who appeared to be intoxicated was observed being assisted by two male students in a Swig Residence Hall elevator. CSS questioned her and she refused medical assistance.  March 2: Two non-affiliate males were reported proselytizing outside of Benson Memorial Center and harassing students. CSS admonished them and asked them to leave campus property.March 3: A female student reported that an unknown male entered her off-campus home on Market Street while the front door was open and that she got him to leave. She was advised to call 911 immediately and CSS responded to the area to attempt to locate him.Medical Emergency:Feb. 29: A male student sprained his ankle when he missed a step on the Harrington Learning Commons stairwell. He was evaluated by SCU EMS.March 1: A male student injured his ear while playing basketball in the Malley Fitness Center. SCU EMS gave him medical assistance.Suspicious Person:March 2: A suspicious non-affiliate male was reported piggy backing into Walsh Residence Hall and gaining entry into a resident's room without permission. He left when the resident confronted him and was gone upon CSS arrival.Trespassing:March 3: A non-affiliate male was reported inside Dunne Residence Hall, knocking on campus resident's room doors and soliciting for unknown products.
