CAMPUS SAFETY REPORT

Alcohol-Related Medical EmergencyFeb. 15: A male student was reported intoxicated andjumped over the patio fence of Nobili Hall, then proceededto sleep on a chair at the Adobe Lodge. CSS and SCU EMSresponded. He was well enough to walk on his own andwas transported to his off campus home by a taxi.Feb. 15: A female student was seen falling and hittingher head on an elevator wall in Dunne Hall. She admittedto have been drinking several shots of mixed drinks atan off campus location. She was evaluated by SCU EMSand was well enough to remain in her room, monitoredby her friends.Feb. 18: A male campus resident was reportedly foundintoxicated and vomiting in a men’s restroom in SanfilippoResidence Hall, and a non-affiliate female guest was foundintoxicated and unresponsive inside a resident’s room.CSS, SCU EMS, SCPD and SCFD responded. The residentdeclined transportation to a hospital. The female guestwas picked up by her parent.Alcohol ViolationFeb. 13: A student reported getting hit by a rockthrown from one of the upper floors of Swig ResidenceHall while walking on Market Street. CSS responded toinvestigate and observed a party in progress in a resident’sroom on that upper floor. Alcoholic beverages were foundinside the room. The students were admonished and thealcoholic beverages were disposed of.Drug and Weapon ViolationFeb. 20: A campus resident was found in possessionof marijuana, paraphernalia and a souvenir samuraisword in his room. The marijuana & paraphernalia wereconfiscated and disposed of. The sword was taken intoCSS custody for safekeeping.Fire and Fire Alarm ActivationFeb. 13: CSS responded to a fire alarm activation atthe Learning Commons. The cause of the activation wasa battery pack of a vape pen inside a student’s backpack,which had spontaneously caught fire. CSS and the FireSafety Officer responded.Feb. 17: SCFD and CSS responded to a fire alarmactivation at Sanfilippo Hall. The alarm was activated bya resident cooking bacon in the oven.Informational ReportFeb. 17: CSS received a message about suspiciousinformation posted on social media. Law enforcementwas advised to investigate.Feb. 17: CSS received a call regarding a student whoinjured himself while skiing and was airlifted to a hospital.Suspicious CircumstanceFeb. 15: Students reported having encountered threesuspicious unknown males soliciting for money alongthe Alameda Mall. CSS responded but was unable tolocate them.Feb. 20: A non-affiliate male was reported to bewatching pornography on a public computer on the firstfloor of the Learning Commons.
