Alcohol-Related Medical Emergency
Jan. 23: A campus resident reported feeling light-headed and nauseous after consuming alcohol. He was evaluated by SCU EMS.
Found Property
Jan. 24: A fake driver’s license belonging to a student was found in Benson Center and turned in to the CSS office. The fake ID were discarded.
Jan. 28: An Apple watch was found and turned in to the Campus Safety office.
Medical Emergency
Jan. 23: A student missed a step while exiting McLaughlin-Walsh Residence Hall and injured her ankle. She was escorted to Cowell Health Center by Campus Safety.
Jan. 23: A student hit a speed bump while riding a skateboard and fell at the North Parking Structure entrance, injuring her knee. She was escorted to Cowell Health Center by Campus Safety.
Jan. 23: A campus resident reported having hives on her body. She was evaluated by SCU EMS and advised to take an allergy medication. She declined transportation to a hospital.
Jan. 24: A campus resident reported having a bad ear ache. She was evaluated by SCU EMS and declined further medical assistance.
Student Behavior
Jan. 23: A female and a male student were observed having a physical altercation in the common area of Heafey Library. Campus Safety & SCPD responded. Both students were interviewed. The female student declined to file criminal charges.
Jan. 28: A student was observed hiding in the bushes, attempting to smoke marijuana on the north side of Campus Facilities. He was escorted back to his room and a search was conducted. Several jars containing marijuana and paraphernalia were found, confiscated and discarded.
Suspicious Person
Jan. 25: Campus Safety responded to the south exterior door of Swig Residence Hall, when advised by SCPD that a non-affiliate juvenile had called 911 and claimed to have a weapon. No weapon was found in his belongings and he was taken into protective custody by SCPD.
Jan. 25: Campus Safety responded to Benton Street regarding a report of a non-affiliate male pacing back and forth in front of the building and asking staff for a ride home. CSS made contact with his parent, who later came to pick him up.
Jan. 26: A student reported having a suspicious encounter with an unknown male in the Learning Commons. The male asked him to participate in a relaxation survey. Campus Safety responded but was unable to locate the unknown male.
Jan. 28: A suspicious male was observed prowling at the Dunne Residence Hall parking lot in the middle of the night. Campus Safety and SCPD responded. He was identified as a non-affiliate on probation for a firearms violation. He was released by SCPD and left with his girlfriend.
