Here come the 'Zags

Santa Clara Ruff Riders lined up over an hour early in order to pick up their tickets to tonight's men's basketball game against Gonzaga. The 1000 available Ruff Rider tickets, which were distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, have all been doled out.

An additional 100 tickets have been made available for students by the Athletic Department, said Ruff Rider Executive Board Member Denise Zafra through e-mail. They will be distributed today in Benson beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The game, which tips off at 8 p.m. in Leavey Center, is sold out and will be nationally televised on ESPN2.

Gonzaga comes into tonight's matchup at 16-3 with a perfect 5-0 WCC Conference record. The Bulldogs are ranked eighth in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

Last season, the Broncos had trouble with Gonzaga, falling to the Bulldogs three times including a 94-59 loss in Las Vegas during the WCC Conference Tournament to close out the season. The Bulldogs return with only one starter from last year's team in senior Matt Bouldin, who is averaging over 16 points per game.
