Alcohol Violation Jan. 11: Campus Safety responded to investigate a large party in progress, where alcohol was being served, in a Sobrato Residence Hall room. Several underage students were found in the room and admitted to have been drinking. The occupants were documented and the alcohol was confiscated and disposed of. Drug Violation & Theft Jan. 12: A non-affiliate male reportedly stole two cellphones from a contractor on Benton Street and The Alameda. SCPD pursued him onto campus where he was seen dropping several bags containing methamphetamine at different locations. SCPD captured him, took him into custody and collected the drugs. Informational Report Jan. 11: Golf cart tire tracks were found on the lawn area of the Locatelli Student Activities Center. A Bon Appetit cart caused the damage. Jan. 12: A student was causing a disturbance in the Locatelli Activity Center during an event and refused to leave when asked by a staff member. Campus Safety responded and located him by Stanton Field. He was cooperative when questioned and left campus without incident. Medical Emergency Jan. 12: A non-affiliate female was bitten on the hand while attempting to pet a dog near the Abby Sobrato Mall fountain. The dog’s owner refused to identify herself and claimed to have not given permission to the non-affiliate to pet her dog when she asked. The woman who was bitten refused medical attention. Jan. 14: A non-affiliate guest was intoxicated and fell to the floor on her face in a resident’s room. Campus Safety and SCFD responded. She was allowed to stay in the resident’s room for the night. Suspicious Person Jan. 14: Two non-affiliate guests were found intoxicated and banging on resident’s doors in Swig Residence Hall. SCPD was contacted and responded. They were allowed to stay in their host’s room for the remainder of the night. Theft Jan. 11: A skateboard was reported missing from the Benson Memorial Center Information booth after being left unattended. Trespassing Jan. 13: A non-affiliate male disturbed staff members by banging on their office windows. Campus Safety and SCPD responded and found him lying on the walkway by the Varsi Hall parking lot. He refused to cooperate when asked to leave campus and was taken into custody by SCPD. Jan. 15: A non-affiliate male was observed at the Nobili Hall bike racks acting suspiciously. Campus Safety and SCPD responded to investigate.
