Alcohol & Drug Violations

Feb. 1: Several juveniles were observed drinking alcohol on the third floor of the North Parking Garage. They fled the scene upon Campus Safety’s arrival, leaving behind empty bottles of alcoholic beverages and a backpack. The items were confiscated. Feb. 4: Campus Safety searched a room in Swig Residence Hall after a marijuana odor was detected. Both residents were present with two non-affiliate male guests. A room search yielded several nearly empty containers of alcohol, marijuana, paraphernalia, non-assigned prescription medicine, cocaine and fake ID’s. SCPD responded to collect the cocaine and the other contraband was disposed of. The fake ID’s were confiscated.

Informational Report

Feb. 1: A derogatory sign was reportedly displayed in a resident’s room window facing outside. The room occupant was contacted and asked to remove the sign. He willingly complied. Feb. 2: Campus Safety assisted Residence Life staff to investigate missing plaques. During a room search, alcoholic beverages, marijuana, paraphernalia, a fake ID and a yellow caution sign were found in a resident’s room. The items found were confiscated and disposed of and the sign was removed from the room. Feb. 2: A student reported being approached by four unknown males carrying bibles in their hands outside of Malley Fitness Center. They asked him to join their bible study. Campus Safety was unable to locate the unknown males.

Sexual Assault

Feb. 1: A student was reported being a victim of a sexual assault while attending a party at an off campus location. An investigation was initiated. Feb. 1: Another student was reported as being a victim of a sexual assault while attending a party at an off campus location. A concurrent investigation was initiated.

Suspicious Person

Feb. 5: Campus Safety received a report that two young girls were outside of Bellarmine Hall attempting to sell bottles of alcohol. The girls left before Campus Safety and SCPD could arrive. Vehicle Theft Feb. 1: A Bon Appétit electric golf cart was reported missing from the south side of the Benson Memorial Center. SCPD was notified and located the cart at Rotary Park in Santa Clara, along with the four juveniles who stole the cart. The cart was brought back to campus. From Campus Safety reports.
