THE SANTA CLARAMarch 10, 2016Alcohol-Related Medical EmergencyMarch 5: An intoxicated male student reportedly fell on the sidewalk and injured his head. CSS, SCU EMS and SCFD responded. Paramedics transported him to O'Connor Hospital. Notifications were made. March 5: A female campus resident was reported intoxicated and having trouble walking in the first floor stairwell of Swig Residence Hall. CSS and SCU EMS responded. She was escorted back to her room and was allowed to remain there, monitored by a friend.March 5: A female campus resident was reported intoxicated after drinking a few shots of vodka at an off-campus party. SCU EMS evaluated her and allowed her to remain in her room, monitored by a friend. Drunk in PublicMarch 5: A non-affiliate male was found sitting in a disabled parking space on the first floor of the Main Parking Structure, very intoxicated. He was uncooperative when questioned, and SCPD was contacted and responded. SCPD took him into custody for being drunk in a public place after he failed to identify himself. March 7: A non-affiliate male was reported intoxicated. He allegedly fell down twice while asking students for directions at the corner of Santa Clara and Lafayette Streets. CSS and SCPD responded. He was taken into custody for being drunk in public.Found PropertyMarch 9: An unattended scooter was found inside the Leavey Center and was turned in to the CSS office.Informational ReportMarch 6: A non-affiliate male was observed walking around the ATM machine by Benson Memorial Center while carrying a large pole-like item in the middle of the night. He claimed to be conducting a lighting survey when he was questioned. RobberyMarch 7: A staff member reported being robbed while walking to his parked vehicle in the Loyola Hall Parking Lot. The robber drove off after taking his backpack. SCPD was contacted and responded. A timely warning advisory was issued to the campus community. Student Behavior March 4: A male student was reported taking another student's bicycle, which was secured to the Swig Residence Hall bike racks. The bike owner reported the theft to CSS. CSS contacted the student suspect in his campus residence hall for questioning. He admitted to taking the bike as a prank and returned the bike to the owner. March 5: A male student was observed urinating on a fence next to 862 Market Street. CSS questioned and admonished him. March 8: A student was reported driving recklessly on campus. The student didn’t stop at a stop sign and almost hit another vehicle on Accolti Way. CSS responded to investigate and located the student's vehicle in the east parking lot. The incident was documented and the Office of Student Life was notified. Student Welfare CheckMarch 5: SCPD contacted CSS regarding a report of a possible missing female student. CSS responded to the student's campus room to conduct a welfare check, but was unable to locate her. Approximately an hour later, SCPD notified CSS that the student was located and was fine.March 9: A male campus resident was reported missing. CSS and SCPD responded to investigate. Suspicious CircumstanceMarch 4: A campus resident reported that someone attempted to pry off her window screen, causing minor damage to the screen.TheftMarch 8: Miscellaneous personal items were reported stolen from a secured vehicle parked on the third floor of the Main Parking Structure. The owner was advised to file a report with SCPD.March 9: A front wheel of a bicycle was reported stolen from a secured bicycle at the Music and Dance Building bicycle racks.TrespassingMarch 7: A suspicious non-affiliate male reportedly gained entry into a Kennedy Commons study room and made a student uncomfortable. CSS and SCPD responded. He received a trespass warning and was escorted off campus. March 8: A non-affiliate male who previously received a trespassing warning returned to campus and gained access into room 112 of Kenna Hall, startling a staff member. CSS and SCPD responded and he was admonished and escorted off campus. A few hours later, he was in the basement of Walsh Administration.
