Message from the Wellness Center and the Office of EEO and Title IX

This letter is in response to the Jan. 11 first submission to the Amplify Project. The Wellness Center and the Office of EEO and Title IX would like to share resources and for anyone in our community who may have been impacted by sexual assault or other gender based violence. First, we want you to know that Santa Clara cares. You do not have to go through this alone. We are here to help you get connected to resources, get support, learn about options and even pursue an investigation (if desired).

If you or a friend have experienced sexual assault, dating violence, or stalking, know that it wasn’t your fault and that help and support is available. See the list below for reporting options and support services.

Campus Safety: To report an incident of sexual assault, dating violence, or stalking, contact Campus Safety 24/7. Santa Clara EMS can also be contacted through the emergency line: 408-554-4444 (Emergency or 408-554-4441 (Non-Emergency)

Office of Student Life: To file a report with the University or to be put in touch with an advocate who can assist you through the process, call 408-554-4583. You can report anonymously online at www.scu.edu/osl/report/.

Office of EEO and Title IX: To report an incident of gender or sexual misconduct, harassment or discrimination, contact the office of EEO & Title IX to talk about your options.Even if you are not ready to move through any type of investigative process, the Office of EEO & Title IX can talk you through your options and get you connected to the appropriate offices.

Cowell Center: To receive (non-forensic) medical attention or confidential counseling and psychological services, contact the Cowell Center.

Wellness Center: To receive confidential support, resources, and information, contact the Wellness Center located at 862 Market Street across from Dunne Hall.

YWCA: 24 hour, confidential rape and domestic violence crisis agency. (800) 572-2782

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center: This is the only place in Santa Clara County to get a forensic medical examination. Ask for a SART exam.

Connect to an advocate through the Office of Student Life or the Office of EEO & Title IX. A trained staff member can assist you in talking through options and offering support.
